Don’t let poor GCP compliance prevent your products from being approved or eliminate successful studies from NDA/PMA/510(k) approval.
GCP principles apply to all research involving human subjects—not just pharmaceuticals. Despite FDA outreach and industry training, concerns remain in areas such as monitoring, drug and device accountability, subject protection, investigator compliance and adverse events. This one day seminar will give you a current understanding of Good Clinical Practice aligned with FDA requirements and regulations.
Participants will be able to:
- Define GCP within medical device and pharmaceutical development
- Assess whether their organization and staff follow GCP
- Recognize their organization’s responsibilities as it applies to the conduct of GCP
- Understand how to assure their studies are conducted to GCP standards

Wednesday, April 28, 2010 12:00pm - 1:15pm

This session will include use of CCMR's impressive collection of imaging, analyzing and testing equipment to solve technical problems. We will also discuss how to collaborate with Cornell faculty members to tap into their technical expertise. In addition, hear about CCMR's "Jumpstart" grants program (15 local companies have received this grant to date) and the Creative Core's "Grants for Growth" which can help fund collaborative research efforts.
Learn how to connect with resources and discover innovative applications of materials to make your products faster, lighter, less expensive and more environmentally friendly. Join CCMR's Industrial Partnerships Director, Michele van de Walle, and John Sinnott, CCMR Facilities Manager, for a presentation and open exchange about how your company can benefit from working with CCMR.
Who Should Attend: Business owners, engineers, quality assurance personnel, managers and technical professionals working with plastics, metal forming, fabrication, plating, electronics and other products and processes.

Challenging times or not, raising cash to fund life-science ventures is a daunting task. Don’t let the current economic environment prevent your company from raising the cash it needs to bring your discoveries and innovations to market. There are many approaches to fundraising that don’t involve venture capital, angel investors, or soliciting investments from friends and family.
The Rochester BioVenture Center became the first incubator in New York’s Finger Lakes region able to support life sciences companies with both wet labs and business services. The biotech incubator is operated by High Tech Rochester to further the organization's mission of economic development in the region.
The Rochester BioVenture Center is located in Henrietta, New York in the University of Rochester Medical Center. The 40K square foot building was transformed from the former Wyeth laboratory into the current business incubator in 2007. Lab and office space is available in sizes ranging from 200 to 1,000 square feet for early stage and mid-sized biotech companies so that they may develop within a community of similar enterprises and remain within the area. The incubator provides access to funding, business services and a number of regular events through High Tech Rochester in affiliation with network partners. The incubator cooperates with many different organizations to facilitate the goal of transforming research into economic development.1
