The non-profit internationally recognized research and technology park has 36 buildings with more than 1.5 million square feet of office and laboratory space used by a broad range of start-up companies many of which are focused on biotechnology.
The University Research Park at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is a 355 acre region that is expanding in a second phase to encompass an additional 2,000 acres. While 255 acres of the initial phase is developed including 1.5 million sqaure feet of office and research space the University Research Park comprises 34 buildings including an incubator, an urban innovation center and an accelerator scheduled to open this month. The Metro Innovation Center opened several years ago in downtown Madison to provide an urban setting for IT and medical device companies to grow and prosper.
