San Jose BioCenter Upcoming Events

I recently spoke with Aurelie Gaudin from the San Jose BioCenter, we talked briefly about the BioCenter's program of events to aid Residents and Affiliates in developing business strategies and gaining access to industry connections and contacts.

While many of the workshops and roundtables are specialized to the client's requirements, they are currently involved in a collaboration with BioCenter Premier Sponsor Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where attendees may seek professional perspectives on relevant topics; and the "Meet with..." series where participants are able to meet with session speakers one on one.

An upcoming workshop at Orrick's facility in Menlo Park on September 10, has the topic of Patent Term Extensions and New Patent Office Rules; on September 22, Orrick will be hosting an industry panel discussion on the topic of Financial Darwinism: Which Companies are the Fittest.
The "Meet with..." sessions are exclusive events that must be registered for in advance.  On September 24, at the BioCenter, attendees will meet with Licensing Directors from Merck and Co. Inc., the registration deadline for the event is today, September 4.  Upcoming "Meet with..." events include meeting with Senior Managers from Genentech Inc., on October 22, and representatives from Nycomed in November, and Johnson & Johnson, Inc., in December.
